I have been editing fiction and nonfiction for more than ten years, and I’m a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and the American Copy Editors Society. I have a BA in Comparative Languages and Linguistics from Earlham College, and my passion for editing springs from a fascination with language as a tool for self-expression, communication, and imagination.
“Along with her keen-eyed skills, Marisa is a kind,
intelligent, and principled human!”―Pamela Polston, editor and publisher
I also like to hike mountains, write letters, play games, contra dance, bake decadent chocolate cakes, and organize stuff.
I live in Montpelier, Vermont, with my helpful feline assistant.
